Maison Fauve's "Primrose" Dress Pattern

The PRIMROSE dress will make you the most beautiful to go dancing... Twirling thanks to its skating skirt composed of panels, it is stunning in an open back version, or wiser in a closed back version. The neckline of the dress is delicately indented. The front of the bust is gathered, and the back is bent by an elastic slipped into a belt. The remarkable detail of this pretty sewing pattern: the pleated and twisted wrist, like a signature on your hand-sewn creation (this detail is always offered, whether you choose the buttoned wrist finish, or the simplified buttonless wrist version).

Skill level: Intermediate, the technical points are the realization of the pleated wrist, the tear-proof slit on the buttoned wrist version, the realization of gathers, the installation of the elastic.

Sizes: 34-52 (French) / approximately equal to size 4 to 22 (US). Please refer to size charts for more information.

34-38: 220 cm

If you sew your dress in a fabric requiring a lining, the necessary length to line the skirt part + the bust in front + the inner cuffs is 180 cm.
6 buttons between 10 and 12 mm for the buttoned wrist version
40 cm of length of tethertight for the cleanliness of the neck and cuffs. We use the G710
1 elastic 2 cm wide, length to be seen in the finished garment measurement table

Suggested fabrics: only chain and weft fabrics. Fabrics with a soft fall, which drape beautifully: a twill, a crepe or a viscose poplin, a fine jacquard, a soft and light wool for the winter, or a beautiful lace, fabrics weighing 100 to 250g/m2 depending on the desired rendering.
