This energetic multidirectional artwork presents a kaleidoscopic clash of bold patterns and vivid colours. Inspired by the countercultural music of the ‘60s, the original artwork by Yuko Kanatani was created by applying coloured pencil crayons in a distinctive shaded style, allowing for fluidity between the changing colours.
AW21 From Japan With Love Collection
From Japan With Love was created by Liberty Fabrics in collaboration with eight contemporary Japanese artists. The collection’s contributors worked across a wide range of graphic, textile and fine art mediums, creating visually stunning artworks that were transformed into fabric layouts by our in-house London design team – each finished print reflects a different influential facet of Japanese art and design. Yuko Kanatani’s work combines a dazzling explosion of psychedelic colours with a meticulously ordered geometry. Joyful in spirit, her pop-inflected pieces are created through painting, collaging, installation and animation, all presented with a dynamic and infinite sense of movement.

Sold in 1/4 meter (0.27 yards) increments. Price is for a 1/4 meter. We cut additional increments of fabric continuously. For example, if you select 4 units (which equates to 1 meter), you will receive a single piece of fabric that is 53" wide and 1 meter long. We regret that fabric, once cut, is non-refundable.
