About the Collection
Some really basic, everyday things have inspired this collection. But basic never means simple or boring to me. Sometimes the things we are most familiar with can be exciting to explore. I love going on walks around my house, and in seeing some of the same things everyday you start to think about them in new ways, especially if they change and transform throughout the year. In this new collection, I drew a lot of inspiration from the clay roads and groves I see super often. It’s a mix of earthy and man-made shapes that together are loads of fun to work with.
Some of the designs feature a screen-printed motif on the fabric under an all over-shine on top. Other designs in the collection are made up of motifs created by the metallic sheen itself. I love the variety in the applications and how they create such rich interest in the group. Plus, there’s something really fun to me about fairly simple and grounded sources of inspiration re-interpreted in a fancy light.
I see this collection as one that will mix and match easily with many things. I love throwing a little bit of shine into a project alongside other non-shiny pieces. Use Languid alongside my print collections as well as with other solids and textured fabrics like Essex linen.
The color palette for this group is both grounded and earthy but also with some exuberant pops. I recognize that there is a balance needed when working with shine, and so it was important to me to create a mix that was both embracing of the technique but not too heavy handed with it either. Color is such a great way to balance these things.

Fabric measures 44" wide. Printed on 100% cotton, sheeting. 4.2 square oz per yard. 2" repeat.
Sold and priced in 1/4 yard increments. We cut additional increments of fabric continuously. For example, if you select 6 units (which equates to 1.5 yards), you will receive a single piece of fabric that is 44" wide and 1.5 yard long. We regret that fabric, once cut, is non-refundable.
