is a cashmere shawl, handknit using several easy lace, slip stitch color work, and knit & purl motifs. Th e resulting shawl is vibrant with a lot of textural interest. We named it after a literary friend of ours who weaved together a blindingly brilliant and hysterically funny novel about growing up Turkish in America and researching Russian literature as a chosen profession.

EXPERIENCE LEVEL intermediate (beginner’s lace; the pattern is written entirely as a chart.)
SIZE 25” wide x 50” long.
MATERIALS:
- Qualità Cashmere: 6 balls in 5 diff erent colors; shown in Maritime Blue (2), Seaweed Green, Wonderful White, Elephant Grey and Lilac Orchid.
- US11 (8.0 mm) and US8 (5.0 mm) circular needles preferably 16" in length or longer.
- crochet hook to weave in ends and darning needle to bind-off.
